Kids' Dog Training Summer Workshop Date: 11th August Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm Location: Tongham Community Centre Calling all young dog lovers! Join us for a fun and interactive 2-hour dog training workshop designed especially for children who want to learn how to communicate with, train, and care for dogs in a safe and positive way. Led by experienced, DBS-checked instructors, this hands-on session will teach children the basics of reward-based dog training, canine body language, safe handling, and how to build a great relationship with dogs. Participants will have the opportunity to practise training exercises and learn useful skills that can be used with their own dogs at home. Don't have a dog? No problem! Friendly, suitable dogs can be provided for children to work with during the workshop. The workshop is suitable for dog-loving children of all experience levels and focuses on learning and building confidence through fun games and practical activities. Important Information for Parents: Parents and guardians are welcome to drop children off for the workshop; however, they must remain on site throughout the session. Parents may wait in another area of the community centre or enjoy the nearby recreation ground while the workshop takes place. Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended.
