Service Description

*PLEASE NOTE - there will be a weeks break on the 25th May for bank holiday* What will I learn on this course? We will advise you on the many common development areas during the first stages of puppy ownership and how to prevent unwanted behaviours, such as: Separation Anxiety Jumping Up Toilet Training Crate Training Mouthing/Biting We will also teach you to teach your puppy how to: Sit on voice/hand cue Lie down on voice/hand cue Develop Mat Training (useful for cooking in the kitchen or when answering the front door) Teaching them to take treats gently Basic Trick-Training (paw/high five) Teach them to walk on a Loose Lead (no pulling) Build a solid Recall (come back when you call them!) Socialisation and play time with other puppies of a similar age How to Find Us Saturday group classes are held at: Badshot Lea (Farnham) Sea Cadets Parking Free parking is available on site, details will be sent to you nearer the time of your course start date. Cost The cost of the 6 week Group Puppy Training Course is £140. Who Can Join? Classes are fun and interactive and we encourage all family members to get involved! We only allow max 6 puppies per class, so limited spaces are available. This is to ensure each puppy and owner receives 121 time during each session. Vaccinations and Ages We can accept any puppies who are aged between 10 weeks and 20 weeks of age and who are in good health. This is to ensure that all puppies are of a similar age and development area. If you have an older puppy please contact us prior to booking to discuss. All puppies need to have had only their 1st Vaccination for Distemper, Parvovirus and Hepatitis – please bring the Vaccination Record Booklet with you to the first session or send a photograph via email. What Should I Bring to Class? - Your puppy! All owners are asked to bring their puppy on a collar/harness and a short lead (not retractable please). Puppies must be carried to and from the venue if they are still awaiting their 2nd Vaccinations. - Your puppy’s Vaccination Record Booklet showing they have had their 1st set of Vaccinations - Their bed/a blanket for them to rest on during any breaks - A water bowl (water will be provided but some puppies prefer their own bowl. - Some tasty treats to use in training (high value, chicken, sausage etc)


Cancellation Policy

Terms and Conditions 1. Whilst we do not insist your puppy is fully vaccinated we do require the first vaccination and a 10 day period after, before a puppy joins the class. 2. All packages are paid for in advance and are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances – as decided by Tricks ‘n’ Treats. In some circumstances we will agree to transfer funds paid to cover another courses or service. 3. For 1-2-1 consultants a minimum of 24 hours notice should be provided for cancellations or amendments or the full fee will need to be charged. 4. All deposits are non refundable and the remainder of the payment for the courses must be made at least 24 hours prior to the start date of the course. 5. All instances of accident or injury must be reported to the dog trainer at the time they occurred, in the class they occurred in. Subsequent reports of accidents may not be entertained. 6. Tricks ‘n’ Treats cannot accept responsibility for loss, injury or damage to person or property. 7. On occasions we may have to change the time of a training session or location due to weather or external situations. We reserve the right to do this and will contact you in advance should this occur. If this is not suitable we will try and accommodate you in another class (subject to availability). 8. The following items are NOT PERMITTED in Tricks ‘n’ Treats Dog Training Classes under any circumstances: Choker chains and / or Check chains of any description; Shock collars including citronella/water; Shock devices or any other device that may cause discomfort, pain or fear to the dog. 9. All dogs must remain on lead within training situations unless specifically instructed by the dog trainer and with the owner’s verbal consent. 10. Tricks ‘n’ Treats Dog Training takes all reasonable precautions within the structure of our classes and in our training situations to avoid injury resulting from dog bites. However, Tricks ‘n’ Treats accepts no responsibility for damage or injury resulting from dog bites occurring to clients or their dogs while in a training situation. The Control of Dogs Act 1986 section 21 - "Liability of owner for damage by Dog" applies within our classes and all training situations 11. Well behaved children are very welcome; however, we ask that they do not run around, or approach other dogs during classes. Some puppies may be nervous and may nip if they feel threatened or become too excited. 12. Our course is designed to give you maximum benefit and enjoyment from training your puppy. It is understood, that training in class gives you the tools and techniques to get the most from your puppy in real life situations. Training should continue outside of the class in order to get the most from the course. If you are having difficulty with this, speak to us about our one-to-one packages to compliment your class training. 13. Dogs that have injuries, contagious diseases (or contact with other dogs with contagious diseases) or stomach upsets should not be brought to class. Owners are still welcome to attend, so you are able to apply the training at home and not miss course content. Bitches in season should not attend classes.
